After another long day of 6+ hours I think I am done assignment #2!!!
With a little help from some websites and my fiancee (a UBC MET student) I was able to take all of my hard work and create a Google Site. The resources I selected and MARC records I created were all formatted and then entered into the site I created. By the time I was done I was exhausted, but ever so proud of myself.
At the start of the assignment I never thought I would be able create MARC records for 20+ resources, let alone create a working website for them. However, after a lengthy selection process and the creation/formatting of resources I can proudly say I have created my own digital library. What makes me even happier is that 90% of the records are completely accessible online. As a result, I think I will be able to use this site with my students to teach World War Two to my SS11 and History 12 students.
So...after weeks of hard work and 12+ hours invested this weekend alone, I do believe I am done assignment #2!!! Yay.
Now I will reward myself with a rootbeer and a few good hours sleep before work on Monday! Goodnight!
